This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) for an enclosed non-hazardous solid waste transfer and processing facility.
This transfer site is a 1.32 hectare property located in the Town of Dorchester, Municipality of London. The facility will receive used batteries from Call2Recycle, which will be sorted by battery type and re-packaged before being shipped to licensed off-site refiners and metal processors.
The project aims to support waste diversion and recycling efforts by ensuring materials are properly handled, sorted, and transferred to the appropriate downstream processors.
The maximum quantity of waste delivered to the site on any given day is 30.9 tonnes, and 10,000 tonnes annually. The facility operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday year round, except for statutory holidays.
