This proposal is for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. 8255-DMUQ3Y issued to Evolution Mining Gold Operations Ltd. for industrial sewage works servicing the Red Lake Operations, located at 15 Eric Radford Way, Balmertown, Municipality of Red Lake, District of Kenora, Ontario.
The amendment proposes an extension to the East of the Red Lake Tailings Storage Facility that is intended support the current and expected future life of mine operations, including tailings storage and water management requirements to 2042. The extension of the Tailings Storage Facility will provide storage for approximately 13.9 million cubic meters of tailings.
Excess water from the extension area will be routed though the current tailings storage facility and will discharge to Balmer Lake following water treatment and monitoring using existing and previously approved compliance discharge points.
