Proposal details
This proposal is to establish an Environmental Compliance Approval for industrial sewage treatment works serving the Domingos Meat Packers facility located in Arthur, Ontario.
The industrial sewage treatment works will comprise of a collection system, rotary screen, dissolved air flotation system, aerated equalization tank, 4-stage Bardenpho biological treatment process, membrane bioreactor, ultraviolet (UV) disinfection and effluent monitoring equipment and associated appurtenances. The proposed sewage works are designed to meet the Effluent Quality criteria as established during Environmental Compliance Approval pre-consultation, prior to discharge of up to 1,149 cubic meters per day to the Caudle Drainage Works, which ultimately drain into the Conestogo River.
The Ministry may require monitoring of the industrial wastewater effluent discharge leaving the site.
