This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 5362-5LET57 for Wenzel International, Inc. operating as Croven Crystals, a crystals manufacturing facility located in the Town of Whitby, Ontario. This application is to assess the facility’s compliance with O. Reg. 419/05 and NPC-300.

The application includes all sources at the facility, including fume hoods, thermal shock test chambers, and maintenance welding.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • 2-butoxyethanol
  • ethanolamine
  • glycolic acid
  • hydrochloric acid, and
  • isopropyl alcohol
