The subject lands are located approximately 20 kilometres northwest of the City of Thunder Bay municipal boundary in the unincorporated Township of Jacques, on a private road from Hwy 589.

Proposed application 58-C-222260 is for a new lot. 

The purpose of this formal application is for the creation of a new vacant lot for resource-based recreational use as well as an easement for legal access purposes.

 The proposed new lot will have approximately 70 metres of frontage on MacCormack Lake, 145 metres of depth, and an area of 1.34 hectares. The proposed new lot is currently vacant and is proposing a seasonal cottage serviced by a septic system and well. It will be used for resource-based recreational purposes. An easement over the retained lands has also been applied for with this application to provide legal access to the proposed new lot.

The retained lot will have approximately 72 metres of frontage on MacCormack Lake, 142 metres of depth, and an area of 1.87 hectares. There is an existing cabin, sauna, and individual privy building. The cabin is proposed to be demolished and replaced with a new seasonal cottage which will be serviced by a septic system and well. It is currently used for resource-based recreational use. 

The subject lands are accessed via an easement over a private road that branches off of Hwy 589. The subject lands are located approximately 20 kilometres northwest of the City of Thunder Bay municipal boundary in the unincorporated Township of Jacques.
