This proposal is for an amendment to the Limited Operational Flexibility for the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 9861-A8AK4Z for Walker Aggregates Inc., an aggregate extraction and processing facility located in the Township of Clearview, Ontario.
The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include material handling (dumping and loading), crushers, wash plant, fines screens, and associated conveyors and stackers.
The amendment includes updates to the equipment configuration on site, the drilling schedule, the size of drilling holes and the addition of an emergency generator.
Emissions to the air from this facility include:
- magnesium carbonate
- calcium carbonate
- particulate matter
- nitrogen oxides, and
- silica
The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The Limited Operational Flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
