An amended Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) has been issued to Magris Talc Canada Inc., an open pit talc mining and concentrating facility located in the Unorganized Township of Reeves and Unorganized Township of Penhorwood, Ontario.
A new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) was issued for the establishment of a sewage treatment plant and subsurface disposal works to service a residential RV Park of 117 RV sites and a three bedroom residence located at 5216 County Road 90 in Springwater, Ontario.
Application was cancelled for use of a Holding Tank to service concrete wash water generated from manufacturing of precast concretes products. The ministry determined that the proposed sewage works do not fall under the Ontario Water Resources Act (OWRA) section 53 ECA requirements; rather it meets the OWRA section 53 (6)(a) exemption.
