We have finalized the policy objectives to help ensure the long-term environmental sustainability of commercial-scale cage aquaculture operations (culture of fish in net cages floating in open waters) in the province.

The Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has issued an overall benefit permit to the City of Niagara Falls for a bridge replacement that may impact American Water-willow, a species at risk plant. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects and benefit the species, and monitoring and reporting requirements.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 3584-CEAQ9S on May 26, 2022. It cancels and replaces Permit to Take Water No. 7528-8M5QPX for Ukrainian National Federation of Canada (Toronto Branch). Approval has been granted to issue a renewal of Permit To Take Water No. 4367-7YZSQ5 for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one (1) watercourse. The Permit to Take Water No. 7403-BBYHVA was issued on May 15, 2019 for a period of 10 years.

Certificate of Property Use (CPU) No. 3460-BA9KX4 was issued to 24 Gaukel GP Inc. on June 5, 2019.

Certificate of Property Use No. 1386-DP7SBD was issued to RN Developments Inc. on May 1, 2026.

The minister has issued an overall benefit permit to the Regional Municipality of Halton to improve Boyne Bridge over Sixteen Mile Creek which will impact Silver Shiner, a species at risk fish. The permit includes actions to benefit the species and minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.

We have updated air standards for sulphur dioxide and clarified regulatory requirements, which will help to reduce risks to communities near industrial facilities. 

Certificate of Property Use (CPU) No. 0554-BJRHS6 for 5200 Yonge Street, Toronto was issued to 5200 Yonge G.P. Inc. and 5200 Yonge Limited Partnership, as part of their development plans for the site.

The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to the Town of Amherstburg for repairs and improvements to Bondy Bastien Drain, which will impact Pugnose Minnow and its habitat. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects and benefit the species, as well as monitoring and reporting requirements.

The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to the Town of Aurora regarding works to mitigate erosion and flooding that will impact three species of at-risk bats. The permit includes actions to benefit the species and minimize adverse effects and requires monitoring and reporting.

We issued the Certificate of Property Use No. 4646-BLBJBJ to UCANCO General Partners Inc. as general partner for and on behalf of Canure Limited Partnership for their property located at 4 - 16 Ingersoll Road in the City of Woodstock, Ontario.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has amended the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan (Ontario Regulation 140/02) to redesignate lands in the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan area.

59-C-194392 was amended on April 26, 2021. A new condition was added. Applicants have one (1) year to satisfy conditions otherwise approval will lapse. The last day to appeal this decision under the Planning Act is May 17, 2021.

The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit to the Ministry of Transportation concerning Little Brown Myotis, Northern Myotis and Tri-colored Bat and their habitats in order to accommodate the widening of Highway 400 between Kind Road and Lloydtown-Aurora Road. We have issued a Director's Order No. 5581-BHHKSK to Havana Group Supplies Inc., Waterdown Gardens Supplies Ltd. and their directors/officers regarding the presence of excess soil material on the site with the potential to discharge contaminants into the natural environment.

We issued a permit to York Environmental Solutions Ltd. for the use and operation of a waste transfer and processing site in Toronto for treating excess soil prior to reuse off-site. Maximum storage is limited to 35,000 tonnes of material at any one time. Processing will include soil screening, homogenization and the use of soil amendments.

We approved Certificate of Property Use No. 4724-B9BJHJ to UCANCO General Partners Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of Canure Limited Partnership (Owner) on August 8, 2019.
