Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, received Royal Assent on November 28, 2022. The Act amends the Ontario Heritage Act (OHA) and its regulations to reduce red tape and remove barriers that are slowing down housing construction and other priority projects while continuing to conserve heritage properties that matter most to local communities.
A new Environmental Compliance Approval No. 2102-C7X286 was issued to Kingslea Developments Limited for industrial stormwater management works to service an industrial office/warehouse building located at 380 Lockhart Road in the City of Barrie, Ontario.
The Permit to Take Water No. 3167-D4SN9K was issued to Lafarge Canada Inc. on May 3, 2024, to renew the permit 7580-9GQJUL. Water will be taken from one quarry sump for dewatering and aggregate washing purposes at the Nolan Quarry, located in Clarence-Rockland, United Counties of Prescott and Russell, Ontario.
On January 26, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 8/24. The City of Toronto and Minister of Health requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
On February 24, 2023, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed an amendment to the Zoning Order, Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 446/20, made pursuant to the clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as O. Reg. 27/23. The Town of Oakville requested that the Minister consider amending the Zoning Order.
On July 8, 2020, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 356/20 to permit employment uses on land in the Township of Perth South.
