Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on February 1, 2016 in respect of Application 54-C-159406 for creation of one new agricultural lot on lands described as the west ½ of the south ½ of lot 5, concession 3, Cane unincorporated township, District of Timiskaming. This decision has passed the appeal date.

A Permit to Take Water No. 5782-CPVJRK was issued to GIP Properties Corp on March 24, 2023 to renew Permit No. 4663-B2YGNE for 10 years. Water will be taken from one well for dewatering, aggregate washing, construction and manufacturing purposes at the Brockville Quarry, in the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley, Ontario.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 8225-CNNKBT on February 2, 2023 to 11182765 Canada Inc. for construction dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from three ponds related to dewatering activities, associated with the proposed multi-storey building located in the City of Ottawa, Ontario. This new permit expires on February 2, 2033.

This decision is to renew Permit to Take Water No. 5735-8MZQGT for Simcoe Condominium Corporation No. 102, operating as Lighthouse Point Yacht and Tennis Club for recreational purposes. Water will be taken from Georgian Bay to irrigate lawns in Collingwood, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 3841-CBNMES was issued on February 18, 2022.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for Leaside Junction Inc. to take water for dewatering and for long term drainage purposes. Water will be taken from a well (sandpoint/wellpoint) located in the City of Toronto, Ontario. Permit to Take Water No. 3356-CD2QZC was issued on April 5, 2022.

This decision is for a renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 1740-BUESUC for Ellisdon Civil Ltd. for industrial purposes. Water will be taken from nine lakes and one watercourse, related to industrial activities, located in the City of Toronto, Ontario. Permit to Take Water No. 4520-C7HK8D was issued on October 15, 2021.

A new Permit To Take Water was issued to Thunder Highlands Association for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from Georgian Bay for the irrigation of the Thunder Highland golf course located in the Township of Tiny, Ontario. Permit number 4804-BV7PGB was issued on December 3, 2020 for a period of 10 years.

The Minister has issued a new market-based LNA Methodology for the Greater Golden Horseshoe (2020) which supports implementation of A Place to Grow (“the Plan”). This sets out how upper- and single-tier municipalities in the Greater Golden Horseshoe will determine the amount of land they require to accommodate forecasted growth to the Plan horizon.

Bill 132, The Better for People, Smarter for Business Act 2019, received Royal Assent on December 10, 2019 and amended the Crown Forest Sustainability Act, the Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Act and the Lakes and Rivers Improvement Act (LRIA).

Ontario Regulation 102/20 Monitoring of Mercury Near Dams under the LRIA was approved on March 30, 2020.

Permit to Take Water No. 1477-D4GLXE was issued to Peacock Point Cottage Owners Association Inc. on August 7, 2024 to amend Permit to Take Water No. 8037-BX3QJ4 to increase the maximum volume per day for communal water supply purposes. Water will be taken from one lake (Lake Erie) located in the Town of Selkirk, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 5514-D8ULVF was issued to 2065342 Ontario Inc. on November 26, 2024, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 2665-BMUPUV for industrial operations of aggregate washing and dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from one pond located in the Township of North Frontenac, Ontario for 10 years.

Permit to Take Water No. 6866-D34JAC was issued to Zamparo Industries Inc. on April 4, 2024, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 6731-974RQ6 for pit and quarry dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from one settling pond in the Township of Esquesing, Regional Municipality of Halton, Ontario for 10 years.

The Permit to Take Water No. 2773-CXMM4T was issued to G. Tackaberry & Sons Construction Company Limited on January 8, 2024, for renewal of PTTW No. 4358-98THZK. Water will be taken from one pond located in the Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal for dewatering, construction and and industrial purposes for 10 years.

The Permit to Take Water No. 8085-D4CLGS was issued to Hamilton Golf and Country Club on May 1, 2024, for 5 years for commercial purposes to renew the permit 6406-AXVKFA. Water will be taken from four wells, one ponds, and Ancaster Creek related to golf course irrigation activities, located in the City of Hamilton, Ontario.

Bell Sand Farms Inc. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Perth East.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 0778-CEANKC on June 27, 2022 for Graham Bros. Aggregates Limited for industrial purposes. Water will be taken from two ponds of aggregate washing at the Caledon Pit, located in Caledon, Ontario.

The new permit has an expiry date of May 31, 2032.

This decision is for a renewal of a Permit to Take Water for Mitchell Golf Club Inc. for golf course irrigation and other purposes. Under Permit No. 7882-CDVMFG, issued on April 28, 2022 for 5 years, water will be taken from two wells to irrigate a golf course in Mitchell, Ontario.
