We’ve made amendments to the Wells Regulation to reduce administrative burden for the well construction industry, while maintaining protections for the environment, human health and public safety, and consumers.

This was for a Permit to Take Water issued to Vale Canada Limited/ Vale Canada Limitée under Permit No.. P-300-2247422416 issued for 10 years. Water will be taken from one well related to mining activities, in the City of Greater Sudbury, District of Sudbury, Ontario.

Authorization from the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks is required to use or occupy any land in provincial parks and conservation reserves. This regulation will allow land associated with cottage lots in Algonquin Provincial Park to be used for certain private, non-commercial purposes. (e.g., docks and swim rafts).

This decision is to amend Permit to Take Water No. 0130-BL9M65. Permit to Take Water No. 3173-C2JRP9 was issued on April 29, 2021 to 970 Mapleview Inc. for the purpose of construction dewatering. The permit expires on April 29, 2024.

A new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-3195671809 was issued to Hanseatic Holdings Limited on January 3, 2023 for 10 years. Water will be taken from one well for long-term foundation dewatering purposes, located in the City of Mississauga, Ontario.

RON EASTERN CONSTRUCTION LTD. requested to withdraw their application for a Permit to Take Water (PTTW) for dewatering and foundation drainage purposes. The application is considered withdrawn and no PTTW was issued.

The Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1831276562 was issued on February 26, 2025, to CTC Concrete Inc. for manufacturing purposes. Water will be taken from one watercourse, located in the City of Windsor, Ontario for 10 years.

New Permit to Take Water No. P-300-3281227234 was issued to Insitu Contractors Inc. for water to be taken from one well for construction dewatering purposes at 640 Lansdowne Avenue in Toronto, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-2247392712 was issued to Golden Ambra Highrise Inc. on June 18, 2024, for a new Permit to Take Water for construction dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from one source in the City of Richmond Hill, Regional Municipality of York, Ontario for 5 years.

A new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-2204184500 was issued to Queenlaw Developments Limited on October 19, 2023. Water will be taken from one well for long-term foundation drainage purposes at 1045 The Queensway in Toronto, Ontario for 10 years.

Permit to Take Water No. 0052-CYGSTP was issued to Sandhills Farms Limited. Water will be taken from one pond for aggregate washing purposes at the WH Farms Pit, located in Burford, Ontario, for 10 years.

Permit to Take Water No. 1717-CXBTST was issued to The Sarjeant Company Limited on December 13, 2023 for eight years. Water will be taken from one well for industrial-aggregate washing purposes in the Township of Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 1116-DGVNMU was issued to Impala Canada Ltd. on December 30, 2025. Water will be taken from an Underground Mine for dewatering purposes.
