The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-22-000025 to Kesselrun Resources Ltd. for early exploration activities ~70 kilometres East of Atikokan Ontario, in Moss Township and Power Lake Area, District of Thunder Bay.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for a lot severance for agricultural purposes was granted on June 19, 2024, subject to conditions. 

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-21-000024 to Conquest Resources Limited for early exploration activities near Temagami, Ontario.

The decision is to: Issue the permit.

We have approved a new Environmental Compliance Approval (Private Sewage) No. 1923-BPDPSM to Piccioni Bros. Mushroom Farm Ltd. in the Municipality of Hamilton, Ontario.

Approval was granted for a major site plan amendment to allow St. Marys Cement Inc. Canada to revise the sequence of operational phasing for the ARA licence #624927 (Bromberg Pit).

We have amended several regulations related to excess soil under the Environmental Protection Act, and related documents, in response to delays to infrastructure and development projects as a result of COVID-19, and to support flexible reuse of excess soil.

We have granted an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) with Limited Operational Flexibility for Innocon Inc. (formerly Allmix Concrete Inc.), a ready-mix concrete facility located in the City of Brampton, Ontario.

The variance is approved. Raymond & Sons is allowed to abandon the underground tank in place and install the new underground tank 46 cm from the abandoned tank and 1.22 metres from the property line.

We have issued Permit to Take Water No. 6055-CVML9M on October 11, 2023 for 1000100128 Ontario Inc., Caistorville Golf Club, in the Township of West Lincoln for golf course irrigation purposes. The new permit expires on September 30, 2033.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1210729039 has been issued to Evolution Mining Gold Operations Ltd., amending Permit to Take Water No. 1244-BURTKK for mining dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from underground mine workings located at the Red Lake Mining Operations, located in the Town of Red Lake, District of Kenora, Ontario.

The variance is approved.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 1478-CP5JHR on February 17, 2023, which cancels and replaces Permit No. 6133-98BMFV, for 2285045 Ontario Inc., for commercial golf course irrigation purposes. The permitted water taking will serve the Grand Niagara Golf Course in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The new permit expires on February 18, 2033.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Talbot Sand and Gravel Limited to deepen the pond and to extract below the water table in the east and south setbacks, which will connect the existing pond with the pond proposed through the adjacent expansion application. 

The Permit to Take Water No. 1188-9AHH66 was issued to Ashcroft & Associates Natural Stone Ltd. on March 13, 2024 to renew the permit 1188-9AHH66. Water will be taken from one well and three ponds, located in Wiarton, Ontario, for cooling water and industrial purposes.

A pre-conversion period was set that included a cessation of staking mining claims, the suspension of a number of transactions relating to mining claims and removed the requirement for claim holders to perform assessment work for a set time period.

Upper Canada Minerals, Inc. (Now Upper Canada Stone Company Ltd.) was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a quarry in the Township of Madoc.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval was granted for the establishment of sewage works rated at 78,200 liters per day, to service a seasonal campground and day use area, in Ridgeway, Ontario.
