The Minister has issued a social or economic benefit permit to Ontario Power Generation Inc. for impacts to four species at risk bats and Bank Swallow for the Darlington New Nuclear Project. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects on the species and their habitat and actions to support the protection and recovery of the species.

A new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-8160521801 was issued to Queenswell Ltd. on September 15, 2022 for dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from one well for the long-term dewatering of a proposed building, located in the City of Toronto, Ontario. The permit expires on December 31, 2032.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-8164454335, expiring on June 20, 2032, for Minto (Harmony Road) GP Inc. Water will be taken from one pond for dewatering purposes in the City of Oshawa, Regional Municipality of Durham, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted in respect of Application 59-C-185204 for a 0.12-hectare lot addition for land described as PINs 56013-00076 (LT), 56013-0292 (LT) & 56013-0465 (LT); Unincorporated Township of Watten, District of Rainy River.

Permit to Take Water No. 4447-BCDR7H was issued on May 31, 2019 to Foxwood Golf Ltd. with an expiry date of February 28, 2029.

This decision is to renew Permit to Take Water No. 4362-8MJLSY for 162665 Canada Limited. Water will be taken from one well for communal water supply purposes, located in the Township of Tay, County of Simcoe, Ontario. Permit to Take Water No. 2048-C8ZSJ3 was issued December 3, 2021.

We approved a new Environmental Compliance Approval No.8960-BD8QMD to Blue Spring Trout Farms Ltd. for existing sewage works.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-24-000054 to Compton Mining Corp. for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

The Minister has issued a permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to the Regional Municipality of York for bridge construction activities that may adversely impact Redside Dace. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects, actions to benefit the species, and monitoring and reporting requirements.

We have issued a Permit to Take Water No. 3814-CKNU56 for Inter-Recycling Systems Inc. This is a renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 2677-9T8RAT. Water will be taken from one pond for dewatering purposes at the closed Inter-Recycling Systems Landfill site, located in the City of Sarnia, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on November 6th, 2024 in respect of Application 60-C-201116 for a lot addition for resource-based recreational use on lands described as PIN 42151-0323 & PIN 42151-0293 in the District of Kenora. The last day this decision can be appealed in November 27th, 2023. 

A decision was made to approve a site-specific amendment to remove certain lands in the Town of Oakville from the Parkway Belt West Plan (PBWP) and the associated Minister's Zoning Order (MZO), filed as Ontario Regulation 481/73. 

The PBWP amendment is approved as amendment No. 247 and the MZO amendment is filed as Ontario Regulation 48/26.

The government has released A Place to Grow which replaces the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017. Changes to O. Reg. 525/97 ensure the Minister’s approval is required for official plan amendments that implement provincial mapping for the Agricultural System for the Greater Golden Horseshoe and Natural Heritage System for the Plan.

The amendment to the regulation will provide options for milk producers to use containers that are widely accepted in recycling programs or are managed through a deposit return program. This will provide flexibility to milk producers while still protecting the environment.

This decision is to renew Permit to Take Water No. 5777-8PZMGF for Lafarge Canada Inc. Water will be taken from one pond for aggregate washing purposes at the Byron Pit, located at 1030 Baseline Road West in the City of London, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 5126-8WPHRU was reneewed for aquaculture activity purposes for Cedar Crest Trout Farm. Permit to Take Water Number 2833-BTPP3P was issued on September 23, 2020 for a period of 10 years.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1290676788 was issued to Indwell Community Homes on July 20, 2025.
