Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on May 3, 2022 in respect of Application 58-C-218616 for the creation of one of two new lots for recreational use on lands described as PIN 62492-0254, Unincorporated Township of Sibley, District of Thunder Bay. The last day this decision can be appealed is May 23, 2022.

Approval was granted for an amendment to allow Ross Roth Sand & Gravel Inc. to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually for the Bright Pit #1 operating in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim.

Johnston Bros. (Bothwell) Limited was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of South-West Oxford.

James Dick Construction Limited was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit below water in the Town of Caledon.

Norman Campbell Construction Ltd. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Municipality of South Bruce.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Roc Terra Soil Management Inc. to amend the current site plan to restore site to grade to allow for future agricultural uses, for a pit located in York Region.

We will not be proceeding with the proposal to offer existing cottagers in Rondeau Provincial Park a one-time opportunity to extend their term of occupation to 2038. In the near future we will post a policy proposal to consult on a different option for long-term occupancy of cottage lots in Rondeau.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-23-000149 to EV Nickel Incorporated for early exploration activities approximately 35 kilometres southeast of Timmins, Ontario, in Langmuir townships, District of Cochrane, Northeast Region.

The decision is to issue.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Clark Brothers Contracting Ltd. to increase the annual tonnage limit to no more than 250,000 tonnes per year for their pit operating in the Municipality of West Grey, County of Grey.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow OCL Custom Crushing and Quarrying Ltd. to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually for Licence No. 600421, operating in the City of Greater Sudbury, District of Sudbury.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Erie Sand & Gravel Limited in the Municipality of Leamington to increase the area of below water extraction and also import up to 10,000,000 cubic metres of excess soil to this site for final rehabilitation.

Approval was granted for a licence amendment to allow Bethel Sand & Gravel Inc. to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually for Licence No. 5678, operating in the Township of Centre Wellington, County of Wellington.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow G. Tackaberry and Sons Construction Company Limited to amend the current site plan conditions to allow the importation of excess soils.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow NRK Holdings Inc. to import 535,000 cubic meters of excess soil to restore the pre-existing grade in the Township of Ramara.

In September 2019, we consulted on a draft proposal entitled ‘Ontario’s Sustainable Bait Management Strategy’. The draft proposed a new approach to bait management in Ontario by addressing the movement of bait across the province. We have decided to move forward with implementation of the policy, with some modifications.
