The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-22-000027 to Nuvision Resources ULC for early exploration activities.

The decision is to: issue the mineral exploration permit.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 0184-CB3RN8 for 1712028 Ontario Inc. was issued on February 17, 2022 for pit and quarry dewatering purposes in the City of Port Colborne, Ontario.

We have approved a new Environmental Compliance Approval No. 1069-BFNSSQ for St. Marys Cement (Canada), operating as CBM Ready Mix, for one portable ready-mix concrete batching plant.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on May 26, 2025 in respect of Application 60-C-221711 for a new lot in the unincorporated Township of Aubrey, District of Kenora. The last day this decision can be appealed is June 15, 2025.

Application for Consent, 60-C-222103 to re-establish a rural agricultural parcel was granted provisional approval on June 14, 2023. The last day to appeal this decision is July 4, 2023.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on October 23, 2020 in respect of Application 57-C-209695 for a 74-hectare lot addition on lands in Finan unincorporated township, District of Algoma. The last day this decision can be appealed is November 12, 2020.

The government has streamlined the approval process for releasing heritage conservation easements held by the Ontario Heritage Trust (OHT) over all or part of a property, where such a release would not affect the heritage attributes protected under the easement agreement.

Permit to Take Water No. 1640-B7UM35 was issued, which cancels and replaces Permit to Take Water No. 5124-7NYSMW. The Permit was issued on February 25, 2019 with an expiry date of January 31, 2029.

We issued an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility which replaced all the current Environmental Compliance Approvals for air at this facility and includes all emissions from Linamar Corporation, an automotive manufacturing facility, located at 65 Canal Bank Street, Welland, Ontario.

On November 20, 2025, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 255/25 in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville

We are making regulatory changes to Regulation 347: General – Waste Management under the Environmental Protection Act. The changes capture registration and reporting requirements to support electronic service delivery and require the regulated community to provide reporting information to the Resource Recovery and Productivity Authority.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on October 19, 2022 in respect of Application 59-C-223079 for a lot addition for recreational use on lands described as PIN 56066-0405, South of Weaver Township, District of Rainy River. The last day this decision can be appealed is November 7, 2022.
