We have issued a new Permit to Take Water for construction dewatering and long-term seepage for a project located at 470, 490, and 530 Wilson Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. The project was a proposed residential development. Permit No. 6131-BSELKZ was issued on September 8, 2020 for a period of 10 years.
A new Environmental Compliance Approval (Sewage) No. 4532-BPEHPV was granted to Stronghouse Holdings Inc. on June 18, 2020 for stormwater management works to serve the proposed commercial buildings, and associated asphalt driveway and surface parking, located at 94 Hanes Road in the Town of Huntsville, District Municipality of Muskoka.

On January 9, 2021 the ministry issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Regional Disposal Services Inc. to allow an increase in waste receipt from 299 to 1000 tonnes per day, an increase in waste storage from 350 to 550 tonnes, and the receipt of up to 30 tonnes per day and storage of 60 tonnes of asbestos at their existing site in Hamilton.
We have approved updates to the assessment reports and source protection plan for the Halton Region and Hamilton Region Source Protection Areas. Proceeding with these updates will ensure the assessment reports and source protection plan are current and in place to protect sources of drinking water for the region.
