We are notifying the public that a permit has been issued to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation for construction activities that will impact Redside Dace. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects and benefit the species, as well as monitoring and reporting requirements.
We are seeking public feedback on the Reducing Litter and Waste in Our Communities: Discussion Paper, which expands upon commitments in Preserving and Protecting our Environment for Future Generations: A Made-in-Ontario Environment Plan. The paper poses questions that will help guide future decision-making to divert more waste from landfill.
An approval was issued to amend Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 0004-AHJJKY for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility conditions, for Glencore Canada Corporation, Fraser/Strathcona mine located in Onaping, Ontario.
We reviewed and considered all feedback received during the comment period for the "Modernizing Hazardous Waste Reporting in Ontario" discussion paper. Comments contributed to the proposed regulatory amendments and new regulation, and we will continue to consider these comments as we transition to the new digital reporting service.
