This ministry has approved site-specific standards for sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and sulphuric acid for Ontario Power Generation’s Lennox Generating Station in Napanee, Ontario for a 10-year period.

We approved the updated Fire Management Policy for Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves. The ministry is no longer pursuing this proposal. The actions in this proposal, as well as the comments and feedback received were considered in the drafting of the current government’s Made-in-Ontario Environment Plan, which outlines proposed actions and commitments to help strengthen the province’s resilience to the impacts of climate change.
We approved the amendments to the assessment report and source protection plan for the Grand River Source Protection Area. The amendments update the water quality protection zones around 28 municipal residential drinking water systems, and include some new policies and revisions to previous policies to further protect drinking water sources.
