A new Environmental Compliance Approval (Sewage) has been issued for temporary sewage works to construct subsurface disposal works servicing Valard’s temporary Pipestone Construction site. The site is located approximately 100 kilometres north of Pickle Lake in the District of Kenora.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Malcon Sand and Gravel Corp. in the City of Barrie to allow the importation of excess soil to restore pre-existing grades.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on December 12, 2019 in respect of Application No. 54-C-197946. The last date of appeal of this decision under the Planning Act is January 1, 2020.
