We have approved a new Environmental Compliance Approval No. 9993-B6YQK9 for Colacem Canada Inc. for the establishment of stormwater management works for the treatment and disposal of stormwater runoff from the site of a cement plant located in Township of Champlain.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-23-000149 to EV Nickel Incorporated for early exploration activities approximately 35 kilometres southeast of Timmins, Ontario, in Langmuir townships, District of Cochrane, Northeast Region.

The decision is to issue.

The minister has issued an overall benefit permit to the Regional Municipality of York to widen 19th Avenue and replace existing culverts, which will impact Redside Dace, a species at risk fish. The permit includes actions to benefit the species and minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.

We have cancelled the Environmental Compliance Approval application for ECO Site Assessors Inc., in Town of Greater Napanee, Ontario.

A new Permit to Take Water #4861-BF3PG2 has been issued to Urban Capital-Rosewater 1 Inc. on August 23, 2019 for construction dewatering activities. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of August 22, 2029.

The Resource Management and Safety Act, 2025 received Royal Assent on December 3, 2025. The new Geologic Carbon Storage Act, 2025 will come into effect on January 1, 2026, and will enable the development of commercial-scale carbon storage projects in Ontario

This decision is for a renewal of Permit to Take Water for golf course irrigation and water supply purposes. Under Permit to Take Water No. 6864-CG8LYR, issued on July 12, 2022 for 10 years, water will be taken from three wells and one pond for golf course irrigation and water supply for Westminister Trails Inc., located in London, Ontario.

The Permit to Take Water No. 7457-D7GQDW was issued to Drain Bros. Excavating Limited on August 6, 2024, to amend the permit 2337-AW6HM9. Water will be taken from two ponds for the purpose of the ongoing industrial operations of aggregate washing in Selwyn, Ontario.

This decision is to renew Permit to Take Water No. 0571-9PFNXC for dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from eight ponds related to construction activities in the City of Clarence-Rockland, United Counties of Prescott and Russell, Ontario. Permit No. 4635-BVNLL7 was issued on December 22, 2020 for a period of 4 years.

We have issued a Director's Order No. 5581-BHHKSK to Havana Group Supplies Inc., Waterdown Gardens Supplies Ltd. and their directors/officers regarding the presence of excess soil material on the site with the potential to discharge contaminants into the natural environment.

Permit to Take Water No. 5024-CYHRUW was issued to Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited on December 22, 2023 for five years. Water will be taken from 15 wells for construction dewatering purposes at 21 Don Roadway in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

We have amended the Niagara Escarpment Plan, to allow for a site specific change to the Land Use Designation from Mineral Resource Extraction Area to Escarpment Natural Area and Escarpment Rural Area relating to the surrender of the Aggregate Resources Act.

We have developed a Stocking Plan for the waters of Lake Superior that provides guidance and direction for future stocking activities.

Dufferin Aggregates, a Division of CRH Canada Group Inc., application has been approved for a Class A licence to extract aggregate from above the water table.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing consulted from October 23 to November 22, 2025, on municipal use of Enhanced Development Standards at the lot level. The Ministry received 134 submissions and reviewed this input to help inform future policy direction.

Permit to Take Water No. 7256-B9ANX9 was issued on February 19, 2018, with an expiry date of December 31, 2028.

A decision was made on Feburary 8, 2024 to approve, with modifications, the new Town of Iroquois Falls Official Plan, as adopted by By-law 3709/23.  The approved new Town of Iroquois Falls Official Plan outlines a comprehensive framework of new and revised policies to guide growth and development.
