The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has amended the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan (Ontario Regulation 140/02) to redesignate lands in the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan area.
The Minister has issued a new market-based LNA Methodology for the Greater Golden Horseshoe (2020) which supports implementation of A Place to Grow (“the Plan”). This sets out how upper- and single-tier municipalities in the Greater Golden Horseshoe will determine the amount of land they require to accommodate forecasted growth to the Plan horizon.

We have updated air standards for sulphur dioxide and clarified regulatory requirements, which will help to reduce risks to communities near industrial facilities.
We are publishing a new technical standard for the asphalt mix industry. This will address air emissions and help protect communities who live close to these industrial sources.
Objectives and strategies have been established to help maintain the fisheries within Fisheries Management Zone 12 of the Ottawa River. The Fisheries Management Plan will help promote ecological sustainability and evaluate the effectiveness of how it's managed.
