We have approved the amendment of Permit to Take Water number No.1518-ASEGRK for Harte Gold Corp., for mineral exploration purposes in Hambleton Township, Ontario.
The minister approved amendments to the Grand River Source Protection Plan, including the Grand River Assessment Report, to keep the plan up-to-date and accurate, including to re-align the Plan with the Technical Rules under the Clean Water Act, 2006.
We have approved amendments to the Grand River Source Protection Plan and Assessment Report to ensure Ontario’s municipal drinking water sources continue to be protected. The amendments update the water quality protection areas in Dufferin County with the addition of one new well to the Grand Valley drinking water system.
We have conducted and completed the first required review of Ontario’s Great Lakes Strategy. The strategy is reviewed to ensure it continues to address current and future challenges as we keep working to protect, conserve and restore the Great Lakes Basin today and in the future.
