The Minister has issued an amendment to an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to 2434233 Ontario Ltd. to authorize impacts to Willowleaf Aster individuals and to update mitigation and overall benefit requirements concerning Willowleaf Aster, Butler’s Gartersnake and Eastern Foxsnake.
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) sought feedback on ideas to address the unique housing needs for rural and northern Ontario municipalities. MMAH incorporated this feedback into the development of a province-wide land use planning document. MMAH has issued the Provincial Planning Statement, taking effect on October 20, 2024.

We have introduced legislative and regulatory changes to enable the IESO to launch a clean energy credit (CEC) registry to track the transfer and retirement of voluntarily purchased CECs generated from Ontario’s clean electricity supply. The CEC registry will provide businesses with a new tool to meet their corporate sustainability goals.
