Paul and Sandi Greer (o/a Paul Greer and Sons Excavating Ltd.) were issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the County of Prince Edward.

The Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1087434989 v2.0 was issued to Alamos Gold Inc. on November 22, 2024 to amend the Permit P-300-1087434989 v 1.0. Water will be taken from nine wells and ten lake intakes for mining operations and exploration purposes, located in Dubreuilville, Ontario.

We are delivering on our Made-in-Ontario Environment Plan commitment to hold polluters accountable by moving forward with the use of administrative monetary penalties to create more efficient, effective and fair environmental enforcement. Funds collected will be used to support environmental improvement activities.

Greenwood Paving Ltd. was issued a Class A licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.  

Ontario Regulation 273/18, a regulation amending Ontario’s net metering regulation (O. Reg. 541/05: Net Metering) under the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998 has been revoked.

Permit PR-19-000287 Issued. The exploration permit is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

The Permit to Take Water No. P-300-5271825408 was issued to Glencore Canada Corporation on February 26, 2025, to renew PTTW No. 6467-9NKR34. Water will be taken from one well for mining purposes, located in the Township of Manitouwadge, District of Thunder Bay, Ontario for 10 years.

The Exploration Permit was issued and is valid for a period of 3 years.

The variance is approved

The government proceeded with the proposal to revoke O. Reg. 355/17 as it is a necessary first step toward achieving the Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines’ (ENDM’s) plan to update Ontario’s long-term planning process.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-25-000173 to VERAI US LLC for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

The ministry is moving forward in implementing the Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Permissions Approach to update the current sewage approvals framework, following consultation in summer 2020.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval with limited operational flexibility has been issued to Unimin Canada Ltd. for all sources of air emissions from their Blue Mountain Facility located at 260 Unimin Road in Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township.

D’Arcey Sand and Gravel Ltd. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Howick.

The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to LTM Land Corp. and three individuals for construction activities that will impact Least Bittern, which is a species at risk. The permit includes actions to benefit the species and minimize adverse effects and requires monitoring and reporting.

The Exploration Permit was issued and is valid for a period of 3 years.

The government has issued a guideline for the “community infrastructure and housing accelerator” tool under the Planning Act. The guideline governs how and where this tool may be used.

To further reduce regulatory burden for the waterpower sector while maintaining environmental protection, we have removed existing Permits to Take Water for waterpower facilities. This action follows amendments to the Ontario Water Resources Act in December 2019 that removed the need for these facilities to have a Permit to Take Water.
