Aggregate Resources Act (ARA) licence # 626626 located within the Town of Petawawa, County of Renfrew was withdrawn under the ARA.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on October 26, 2021 in respect of Application 60-C-216411 for the creation of one new lot for recreational use on lands described as PIN 42125-0911, Unincorporated Township of Kirkup, District of Kenora. The last day this decision can be appealed is November 15, 2021.

A decision was made on August 15th, 2025 to modify and approve the City of Toronto Official Plan Amendment 524, as adopted by By-law 47-2022. The approved Official Plan Amendment 524 delineates and plans for sixteen (16) protected major transit station areas.

The variance is approved

A new regulation was made to limit the exemption for university undertakings under the Planning Act to ensure continued application of Minister’s zoning orders and air ambulance service protection corridors. 

The Permit to Take Water No. 7010-DGLMYE was issued to Glencore Canada Corporation on May 13, 2025, to renew the Permit No. 0681-9MBNRV. Water will be taken from three wells for dewatering purposes at the Montcalm Mine site, located in Montcalm, Ontario.

We have approved the amendment to the site plan of ARA licence #624802 issued to John and Dino Salvatori in the Municipality of Dysart et al. County of Haliburton, Ontario.

On September 20, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 365/24  in the Town of Ajax. The Town of Ajax requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Ltd. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Lanark Highlands.

We are moving forward with guidance to help enhance the management of water takings in areas where quantity is a concern and where there are competing demands for water. We are also revoking the interim guidance on water bottling renewals at the same time that the enhancements to Ontario’s water taking program will be put in place on April 1, 2021.

Regulatory changes have been made to modernize public notice requirements under the Planning Act and Development Charges Act, 1997 regarding newspaper notice and other amendments to support implementation of the Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024.

Application 60-T-216540 to create twenty (20) lots, and one (1) block on an island on Lake of the Woods was approved October 24, 2025, subject to conditions. The last date to appeal the decision under the Planning Act is November 13, 2025.

Lavis Contracting Co. Limited’s application for a licence to remove aggregate from a new pit in the County of Huron has been approved.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Timothy Loran Hagel and Margarethe Martia Smulders for the replacement of existing on-site sewage works servicing an existing apartment building located in Central Frontenac, Ontario.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval for Todd Steven Hutchinson and Geraldine Kay Watkins for the establishment of a year round subsurface sewage disposal works, rated at 1,600 liters per day, to service a three bedroom cottage located at 227 Ishkibbible Beach Road, Municipality of Shuniah, Ontario.

The Ministry is proceeding with changes to the maximum rating of the breakaway device for relaxing cable restraints (RCR) used for trapping in Ontario. We are not proceeding with changes to the minimum loop diameter at this time.
