The Minister has issued a permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to Block 11 Properties Inc. for stormwater management outlet improvement works that may adversely impact Redside Dace. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects, actions to benefit the species, and monitoring and reporting requirements.

A decision was made on July 17, 2025, to approve Official Plan Amendment 125 to the London Plan, as adopted by By-law No. C.P.-1512(du)-223, with no modifications. This amendment updates policies in several Place Types to integrate Protected Major Transit Station Area policies, and increase permitted building type.

We have approved the renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 0463-7RBL8C for Elm Wasaga GC Inc. to take water from a pond for golf course irrigation purposes.

Amendments have been made to the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997 and supporting regulations (Ontario Regulation 665/98 (Hunting) and Ontario Regulation 670/98 (Open Seasons) to create a hunting season for double-crested cormorants in Ontario.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval with limited operational flexibility has been issued to Roxul Inc. for all sources of air emissions from their facility located at 805 Steeles Avenue East in Milton.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water. Permit to Take Water No. 4244-C23K7J was issued to The Hedbern Development Corp. on April 14, 2021 for dewatering purposes in the Township of Springwater, Ontario. The permit expires on March 14, 2022.

Permit to Take Water No. 2512-D4LG39 was issued to Decast Ltd. on May 13, 2024 to renew Permit to Take Water No. 5680-B9DRLC for industrial manufacturing purposes. Water will be taken from two (2) wells in the Township of Essa, County of Simcoe, Ontario for 10 years. 

This decision is for a renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 8327-ABLPW5 for De Beers Canada Inc. for construction purposes. Water will be taken from two ponds and five watercourse intakes in the District of Timmins, Ontario.

The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) to Hydro One Networks Inc. for stormwater management and spill control works to serve Lake Transmission Station (lake TS) located at 2549 Barton Street East, in Hamilton, Ontario.

Aar-Con Aggregates Corp. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

Ransome Construction was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in Bruce County.

The government amended the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020 (BTFA) including Part II (Corridor Control) and Part V (Municipal Services & Right of Way) to streamline permitting and reduce approval bottlenecks for transit, leverage delegation of authorities to expedite transit delivery and provide predictable project timelines.
