We are notifying the public that we issued an amendment to ESA Overall Benefit Permit #KV-C-007-15 to authorize the removal of additional Blanding’s Turtle habitat. The permit includes conditions to minimize adverse effects and provide beneficial actions for Blanding’s Turtle as well as monitoring and reporting requirements.
We are seeking input and additional scientific information, including traditional ecological knowledge and community knowledge, from the public and Indigenous communities on draft recovery strategies for four species at risk in Ontario. The information we receive will be considered in finalizing the recovery strategies for these species at risk.
