We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval 9156-BUYKSC to K+S Windsor Salt Ltd. for the collection, treatment and disposal of stormwater and salt-impacted stormwater run-off from the sodium chloride rock salt underground mine, located at 200 Morton Drive, City of Windsor, Ontario.

The variance is approved.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (Air) was issued to Norfolk Disposal Services Limited, a waste treatment and disposal facility located at 811 Old Highway 24, Waterford, Norfolk County, Ontario.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (air) has been issued to Vertex Environmental Inc., located in Cambridge, Ontario. This approval is for two in-situ remediation processes and one ex-situ remediation process for the treatment of contaminated soil and groundwater at sites throughout Ontario.

Approval was granted for a major site plan amendment to allow St. Marys Cement Inc. Canada to revise the sequence of operational phasing for the ARA licence #624927 (Bromberg Pit).

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Zorra Farms Ltd. to change the final depth of extraction from above the water table to below the water table for a pit operating in the Township of East-Zorra Tavistock.

In an ongoing effort to modernize the Environmental Registry the Ministry has identified this as an outdated notice which is no longer pertinent or active. The Ontario government has instead revised how blue box materials are dealt with in the Blue Box Regulation that makes producers responsible for their products at end of life.

Carlyle Development Corp. application for a new Class “A” licence (Category 4 – quarry above water) has been approved.

We have amended the Pesticides Regulation under the Pesticides Act to reduce complexity and modernize pesticide management in Ontario while ensuring strong protection for human health and the environment.

G. Tackaberry and Sons Construction Company Limited application for a Class A licence to extract aggregate from below the water table has been issued. This new licence replaces aggregate licences #3944 and #4011.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) was granted to North Toronto Christian School for the establishment of new and replacement subsurface sewage disposal works to service the existing site plus an expansion of a staff cabin, located at Camp Ke-Mon-Oya, Ontario.
