We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval No. A-500-7102515927 to Schuyler Farms Limited for the on-site sewage system servicing a large fruit growing operation that employs a large number of off-shore seasonal workers living in seven (7) bunkhouses (Buildings #1 - #7), located at 383 Concession 14 Townsend, Simcoe, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for a severance for the purpose of a lot addition was granted on November 19, 2025, subject to conditions.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (air) has been issued to Vertex Environmental Inc., located in Cambridge, Ontario. This approval is for two in-situ remediation processes and one ex-situ remediation process for the treatment of contaminated soil and groundwater at sites throughout Ontario.

A decision was made on April 7, 2026 to approve, with modifications, the County of Simcoe Official Plan Amendment (OPA) 7 , as adopted by By-law 6977. The approved OPA 7 guides growth in the County to 2051, identifies employment study areas and districts, recognizes the Provincial South Simcoe Growth Strategy and in-effect Minister Zoning Orders.
