We are proposing to establish a framework for issuing administrative monetary penalties to encourage compliance with the Wildland Fire Management Act, to prescribe the rates and conditions for when equipment and operators are summoned to support wildland fire emergencies, and to make updates to the Outdoor Fires Regulation (O. Reg. 207/96).
We have approved amendments to the Grand River Source Protection Plan to ensure Ontario’s municipal drinking water sources continue to be protected. The amendments include new water quantity protections in Wellington County and Region of Waterloo, and updates to existing water quality protections in the Region of Waterloo.
