We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 0778-CEANKC on June 27, 2022 for Graham Bros. Aggregates Limited for industrial purposes. Water will be taken from two ponds of aggregate washing at the Caledon Pit, located in Caledon, Ontario.

The new permit has an expiry date of May 31, 2032.

A new PTTW 4333-CF5JAJ has been issued to 9287043 Canada Corporation on June 10, 2022 for dewatering purposes located in the City, of Ottawa, Ontario. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of June 7, 2027.

A new Permit To Take Water has been issued for construction dewatering and foundation drainage for 2161 Yonge Street Limited. Water will be taken from two (2) wells for a proposed development located in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

We issued the renewal for the Permit To Take Water No. 0235-8D8HKK for golf course irrigation and water supply purposes. Water will be taken from Lake Joseph at the Rocky Crest Resort and Golf Club located in the Township of Seguin, District of Parry Sound, Ontario.

We have issued Permit to Take Water No. P-300-5222974042 on August 14, 2023 for 148247 CANADA INC in the Town of South Glengarry, Ontario for golf course irrigation and water supply purposes. The new permit expires on July 31, 2033.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) with Limited Operational Flexibility, which includes the addition of new or historically unapproved sources for all emissions, has been granted to CRH Canada Group Inc., located in the Town of East Gwillimbury, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 8060-D3HPCR was issued to Premium Brands Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of Premium Brands Operating Ltd. Partnership, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 5035-99XQQK for 10 years. Water will be taken from four wells for the industrial food processing and cooling water purpose in the City of Waterloo, Ontario.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) has been granted to Simtor Environmental Ltd. for the operation of an industrial, commercial and institutional, and construction and demolition waste processing facility located at 113 Warren Road in the Town of Whitby, Ontario.

Approval was granted for a licence amendment to allow Brown’s Aggregates Ltd. to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually for Licence No. 625056, operating in the Township of Admaston/Bromley, County of Renfrew.

No decision will be made at this time as the applicant has withdrawn their application for an Environmental Compliance Approval.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for 1001-1037 Queensway Inc. Water will be taken from one well for dewatering purposes and from one well for long-term drainage, located in the City of Toronto, Ontario. Permit to Take Water No. 5473-CCHL84 issued March 14, 2022.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for a lot addition to rectify an access issue was granted on June 11, 2024, subject to conditions. 

Ontario is updating its Guideline A-5 to align with recent federal guidance regarding the control of air emissions from stationary combustion turbines. These changes will enhance environmental protection by aligning with requirements for stationary combustion turbines eligible for the Air Emissions Environmental Activity and Sector Registry.

Bill 215: Main Street Recovery Act, 2020 made changes to the Municipal Act, 2001 and City of Toronto Act, 2006. It limits municipalities from regulating noise related to the delivery of goods to retail establishments, restaurants including cafes and bars, hotels/motels and goods distribution facilities, except as otherwise authorized by regulation.
