Dufferin Aggregates a Division of CRH Canada Group Inc. application for a Class A licence to extract aggregate from above the water table and for the establishment of a new pit known as the Alps Pit, has been approved.

We have approved new Environmental Compliance Approval (Sewage Works) No. 5454-BD4M2Q for 2299647 Ontario Limited for sewage works in Barrie, Ontario.

A permit has been issued under Ontario’s Endangered Species Act to NextBridge Infrastructure LP to enable the construction and operation of a new transmission line in northwestern Ontario. This will help meet future energy demand in the region. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects and provide overall benefits for species at risk.

We finalized species-specific policies (government response statements) outlining the actions we intend to lead and support to protect and recover six species at risk in Ontario: four salamander species (Jefferson, Small-mouthed and two dependent Unisexual Ambystoma species), Nine-spotted Lady Beetle and River Darter.

The Ministry issued a Certificate of Property Use to The Corporation of the City of Niagara Falls. on December 16, 2021 outlining the risk management measures as outlined in the risk assessment for the site at 4555 Erie Avenue in Niagara Falls.
