The ministry issued emergency Director's direction to the company in order allow them to discharge treated effluent for a period beyond the seasonal window of April 1st to November 30th as required by their approval. A delay in issuing these instructions could result in harm to the environment.

The Minister has identified 29 provincially significant employment zones that receive enhanced protection under A Place to Grow.
