I am not in favour of restricting the use of live bait or restricting where the bait can be harvested. Instead, I believe the focus should be on education and conservation. In many cases it is not practical to harvest live bait in the same lake as it will be used in. In most cases, "harvesting lakes" are void of bait predators. Conservation, limits and slot sizes are practical and proven methods that are not as restrictive. Thoughts from an average angler that has been enjoying the sport for 55 years.
