The most important job you have is taking care of the environment. We have experienced hot weather and terrible air pollution in Totonto which is not conducive to good health and enjoyment. We have suffered from forest fires tornadoes in Ottawa and the effects of hurricanes in the US. This should be a warning that we must take better care of the environment or we will leave a dangerous place for future generations. If cap snd trade generates money research and lower emissions I am all for it. Better to spend 5 dollars more on that than a latte or on beer. Please take the long view and not the easy way out. Remember that even a small increase in temperature will result in fish eggs dying and so our world is in great peril. Cap and trade makes good sense. So does building additional programs working with this system. Tax the ultra wealthy if need be. Do not put our environmental plan put in place across Canada jeopardy. (Today I was driving behind a truck belching black gas and it was so awful I pulled off the road....we should all be driving clean and you even cancelled that. Time to own up to what is wrong and do something about it)! Thank you.
