Climate change is the biggest challenge facing us today and as the most populous province in Canada, Ontario has a duty and responsibility to do everything possible to reduce carbon emissions and transition to renewable and sustainable energy. Closing our eyes will not make the problem go away. The transition may be painful and may involve some costs but we only have 1 planet and we have to preserve it. Don't take rash actions to cancel planned programs that are meant to reduce emissions without putting in replacement plans that will reduce emissions just as much if not more.
