This is a terrible bill…

This is a terrible bill proposal. Environmental assessments are an important checkpoint for governments and developers to ensure that creation of new infrastructure is done in a safe manner that does not ruin our local ecosystems and future health. These assessments are some of the only ways that the general public has an opportunity to have their say and ensure that due diligence is being followed during any new developments. Taking this away prevents the people from having a say in the process.

If the project was environmentally safe, it wouldn't be an issue, but clearly it seems like the government would like the environmental assessments to be removed so that it can't be used against them.
