I am a proud Canadian, octogenarian, mother of four high-achieving children and six grand children. I am appalled at the way politicians are burying their heads in the sand and pushing the world headlong into disaster.

Instead of cancelling the only feeble measures that are on the horizon for mitigating climate change, the government of Ontario should be introducing even stricter measures to curb carbon emissions.

Try asking the public if they are willing to pay an amount equivalent to what the current taxes would be in order to save the planet for future generations.
