I am deeply concerned about the cancellation of carbon pricing/cap & trade without any forseeable plan to replace it. Now more than ever, we need action on climate change! Not only is it critical for the survival of our planet, it makes good business sense for Ontario and Canada to be leaders in a green economy.

My kids are already voicing their disgust at how their grandparents and parents generations have "ruined the planet and the future". A majority of voters in this province didn't vote for this government and definitely don't share the same short-sighted, regressive vision for Ontario's future.

Forget the sound bites and populist politics and take a really good look at the data on carbon pricing/cap & trade programs currently running in different provinces/countries. You will see that it actually has a positive economic impact. By committing to climate change your government can act for both the people and the planet.
