I strongly oppose this act…

I strongly oppose this act. It is irresponsible and a betrayal of our responsibility to the land, our country and our children.

My main concern is that this act has been prepared in haste, with no back up plan and that the decision to scrap cap in trade is not based on science, but is rather based on emotion. There is little evidence that cap in trade doesn’t work and a vast amount of evidence that doing nothing is disastrous to our future.

I have little confidence that a “new” plan will be in place in time or that it will be as effective as the current plan which is in line with the Federal government and many of the other provinces.

In light of the recent nobel prize and the UN position on climate change, we have no time to waste.
