I am very upset by your decision to promote Bill 4 and cancel the cap and trade program.

Besides the environmental consequences of these extremely irresponsible actions, the efforts undermine the actions of a number of businesses. Cancelling the cap and trade program adds instability and damages the market for Ontario businesses attempting to create products that will drive clean power and solve the issues of excess carbon dioxide and methane production while businesses in other regions prosper from forward thinking governments. Cancelling cap and trade increases the risks for businesses who we could help with our technology and reduces the ability of these businesses to take direct steps to help mitigate future costs from climate related events like the tornado we just had in Ottawa.

Your agenda is working at odds to the very businesses that provide your tax revenue. This is a poor bill if you want support from businesses that are helping to drive future revenue in the province and I encourage you to stop playing populist games with bills created in a knee jerk reaction.
