Repealing cap and trade and concrete action to combat climate change is a massive step in the wrong direction. We need a big intervention that allows for creative, market-based ways to respond to the problem of climate change.

The most recent UN report states that “heavy taxes or prices on carbon dioxide emissions — perhaps as high as $27,000 per ton by 2100 — would be required” to avoid catastrophic climate change in our lifetime.

Without aggressive action now, those living in coastal areas will migrate en masse and will suffer tremendously. We are all connected. Please do not repeal this important step in the right direction.
