Please tighten the restrictions on emissions coming from Algoma Steel Inc. in Sault Ste Marie.
Our air quality is getting worse not better.
I live approximately a mile west of the plant and notice every single day the belching of smelly blue or sometimes black smoke and emission coming from there. When I walk my dog the sulphur smell is offensive. When I have to wash the black soot off my siding on my house several times a year I am offended. I shouldn't have to do that so often. When I have to repeatedly wash my car to get the grit off it, it makes more work for me. Why should I and my neighbors in the area have a lower quality of life just because the steel plant wants to operate outside the guidelines for clean air. Please take into consideration the people who live in Sault Ste Marie. Protect the people and protect the environment. We deserve better.
