Climate change is a serious threat and according to the latest IPCC report, we don’t have time to waste. While Premier Ford is out cancelling wind farm projects and courting Jason Kenney and western premiers about suing The Liberals over carbon tax, the clock ticks closer to the 2030 deadline for 1.5 degree warming. Pricing carbon was shown to reduce emissions in BC and elsewhere. My government should be adding stronger polluter regulations to the existing cap and trade system and building a sustainable province that can get to carbon zero by 2050. This is not about playing politics, parties need to come together and work harder on this problem than anything before. Politicians: you are the ones who can make the difference that could save our planet in the time we have left before we cause irreversible harm. You make the laws, you can change them to save our planet.
