As a concerned citizen, I am perplexed by the Conservative government's plans to cancel the Cap and Trade program. The program was working well under the Liberal government. It was a win-win situation for both consumers and business partners. Through rebates derived from revenue from Cap and Trade, innovative businesses provided alternative forms of energy to consumers that would mitigate the damaging effects of climate change. Climate change is here to stay and lifestyle changes must be addressed and supported by a government which has a long term goal and fundamental duty to create options for its citizens that will benefit us now and future generations.

I strongly support the repeal of Bill 4, Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018, in the best interests of the citizens of Ontario.
