Taking action against…

Taking action against climate change is no longer optional. There is no person on earth that does not want clean water, air and the right to a healthy environment. By not taking this seriously with all the facts and information in front of you (IPCC REPORT!), you are consenting and promoting the destruction of life, our world, and all the human ideas, developments and progress that has been created on this beautiful planet. As the current leaders during this time of crisis, you are obligated to take action - regardless of your politics. This is no longer a debate or a way to win/ lose voters, climate change action and justice about survival. Cap and trade is a step in the right direction but no where near enough. We need to decarbonize and become a leader in the green energy movement. Lets follow in the footsteps of many regions that have shown it is not only possible but allows for many new jobs and opportunities. Do not be scared to make choices that require the public to trust their government. People have lost trust but this is the perfect opportunity to mend a broken relationship between the decision makers and those that bear the impacts of those decisions. Please make the right decision. This is not a plea just for cap and trade or other market-based solutions, this is a plea to make decarbonizing and re-thinking our free market economy (growth at ALL costs) a priority.This might sound radical but I don't think it is when humanity is at risk. As a young person, I am appalled that climate change is not the #1 priority of every government at every level. History will judge you for the decisions you make right now. Please make the right one... our survival depends on it. We share this home and you have the power that I would die for to make decisions that can help save the planet. Policies aside, please think of this as a HUMAN issue. Think of your loved ones and make these decisions with them in mind.
