After reading the summary of program changes for heavy-duty vehicles, it is not clear to me whether there is any change proposed to the types of vehicles that will be covered. I own a small diesel motorhome with a small engine (Sprinter chassis) which is just slightly over the GVWR limit, requiring a "heavy-duty" emissions test every two years under the current program. The test results have always come back very low. This has cost me as much as $120 plus tax, depending on the garage. I am hoping that there will be relief from this requirement under the new program.
