Please, please, please do not allow Algoma Steel's application go through. I am absolutely disgusted by the filthy skies in that part of town on a regular basis. Their ongoing emission of benzenes and other pollutants which are often above accepted levels are so often overlooked, ignored, accepted by the governing bodies and any fines just aren't preventing the problem. I am sure you are aware of the health problems that plague our community due to their pollution and we certainly don't need more with raised limits that ASC is asking for! I am also extremely concerned by the dioxins and furans and other chemicals that the electric arc furnace will produce once it is commissioned.
