The installation of the White Pines' industrial size wind turbines in and around an internationally designated Important Bird Area is a poorly thought out decision, or mistake. The purpose of installing new renewable energy generation needs to be to protect our natural lands, plants and animals; our biodiversity. If we have to destroy our natural wildlife habitat for energy, it is no different than destruction by pollution from fossil fuels.

What is the plan to stop the destruction of the natural and built world that our parents and grandparents left for us? How will we clean up the mess made by pollution and mistakes?

How will Amherst Island survive the destruction and loss of their natural wildlife habitat as a result of industrial size wind turbines that were not wanted by residents of that community?

Will the Ontario government commit to support the United Nations' Sustainable Development goals?
