We should not only extend this, it should be permanent. We should also not be offering permits to ANY company using plastic bottles etc. We have the worlds largest supply of fresh water and we have shortages. There have been countless studies showing tap water is perfectly fine to drink. In the span of one generation we have created islands of plastic in our oceans. Let's set an example and work to BAN plastic water bottles entirely.
